Meoneura freta
Diagnostic description:
1 dc; halter know white, stem dark; anterior part of frons and face reddish yellow. Abdominal membrane in females with many setulae.
Taxon biology:
Meoneura freta can be found on dry grass and dunes. The species prefers warm and dry habitats and was the dominant carnid in urban biocenoses. It can be collected May-September on excrements and carrion (Brake 1997, Gregor & Papp 1981).
