Australimyza victoria Brake & Mathis, 2007
This species is distinguished from other species of this group by the following combination of characters: male genitalia with surstylus triangular with very broad tip; postgonite triangular with narrow angular tip, about as long as surstylus, female tergite 7 microtomentose.
Head: frons and orbital plates with brown microtomentum
Thorax: mesonotum with brown microtomentum, becoming more grayish anteriorly; scutellum and pleura with brown microtomentum; five to six acrostichal setulae between dorsocentral lines; prescutellar seta about 0.4x length of posterior dorsocentral seta
Wing: length 1.5-1.9 mm, wing width 0.6-0.8 mm; base of knob of halter yellow, apex brown
Legs: fore coxa yellow, femora and tibiae light brown to brown, with bases and apices yellow, tarsi yellow, last tarsomere darker
Male abdomen: surstylus triangular with broad tip, covered with several sensilla, slightly longer than epandrium; postgonite triangular with narrow angular tip, about as long as surstylus; basiphallus broadened posteriorly, tip of distiphallus apparently with membranous tooth-like process; cercus about as broad as tip of surstylus
Female abdomen: tergite 7 completely microtomentose
