Meoneura obscurella (Fallen, 1823)

General description:

see Hennig 1937: 68 (in German) or Sabrosky 1959: 22 (in English). Description of larva and puparium in Engel 1930.

Biology:

Adults have been collected on Angelica-flowers, carrion, salt fish and seeds. Specimens have been reared from snuff and wheat.

Distribution:

Palaearctic Region: widesp. (Iceland to China); Nearctic Region: Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ontario.
